Digital Presso, an AI-based industrial data automation solution company, announced that it has been selected as a 2026 Family Company by the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT).

The KICT Family Company Program is an industry–research collaboration initiative designed to strengthen industrial competitiveness by connecting the technological capabilities of research institutions with the field application capabilities of small and mid-sized companies in the construction, environment, and infrastructure sectors. Selected companies receive tailored support based on their technological level and growth stage, including one-on-one technical mentoring, joint R&D, technology validation, networking opportunities, and access to the latest research trends and commercialization insights.

Digital Presso has been developing and operating an industry-specific SaaS solution that structures unstructured data generated in the field—such as images, voice, text, CCTV footage, drawings, and location data—using AI, and transforms it into automated management and reporting systems. By automating repetitive tasks such as manual record-keeping, photo classification, and report generation, which are common in construction and public infrastructure sites, the company has improved both operational efficiency and data reliability.

In particular, Digital Presso’s technology has been recognized for its strengths in enabling digital transformation (DX) of field-centric data management systems through:

  • Automated classification of on-site captured data and metadata generation

  • Automatic report generation based on work outcomes

  • Asset-level history management and data accumulation

This technological competitiveness led to recognition of its potential for collaboration with public research institutions, ultimately resulting in its selection as a Family Company.

Following this selection, Digital Presso plans to collaborate with KICT to progressively advance:

  • Enhancement of technologies in smart construction and public infrastructure management

  • Discovery of practical application models through real-world field validation

  • Linkage with demand-driven, practical R&D projects

  • Verification of field applicability and commercialization potential of research outcomes

A representative from Digital Presso stated, “Being selected as a KICT Family Company is highly meaningful, as it demonstrates that our technology has been recognized not only in the private sector but also for its practical applicability and scalability in public and research domains,” adding, “We aim to contribute to improving both operational efficiency and data quality across the construction and infrastructure industries through field-oriented AI data automation technologies.”

Meanwhile, KICT, a government-funded research institute in the land and construction sector, actively promotes the commercialization and industry adoption of research outcomes through its Family Company Program. In 2026, the institute plans to further strengthen demand-driven technology discovery, field-oriented joint research, and applied R&D support centered around its Family Companies.

Building on this collaboration, Digital Presso aims to establish a new standard for data management in construction and public infrastructure sites and to further expand its presence as an AI-based industrial SaaS company.
