Digital Presso, an AI-based on-site data automation solution company, has obtained venture company certification (Innovative Growth Type) from Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Amid significantly tightened certification standards—particularly for the Innovative Growth Type—Digital Presso successfully passed the evaluation by being recognized for both its technological innovation and business growth potential.
The Innovative Growth Type certification is awarded based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as technological originality, market scalability, mid- to long-term growth potential, and sustainability of a technology-driven business model, rather than simple revenue or investment performance. Recently, as the screening process has become more stringent, companies lacking practical implementation capabilities or real-world application records are finding it increasingly difficult to qualify.
Digital Presso is currently developing and operating ‘Rename DP’, a SaaS solution that automatically collects, structures, and manages unstructured on-site data—such as images, voice, and video—using AI, primarily in construction, equipment, and facility management environments. The company has built its technological competitiveness by developing proprietary technologies, including OCR-based facility recognition, STT-based voice analysis and asset linkage, and lightweight, on-site optimized Vision AI, while actively pursuing patents.
These technologies have gone beyond research and have been commercialized through the Rename DP Electrical Construction version, which has been applied to real-world electrical construction sites. Through pilot operations, the company has generated actual revenue and continuously enhanced its features based on feedback from field workers, thereby demonstrating both technological effectiveness and market viability.
In particular, Digital Presso differentiates itself by focusing not on cloud-dependent AI but on on-device, low-latency, field-optimized AI architecture. This enables operation even in unstable network environments and has been recognized for its strong potential for expansion into voice-command-based site automation, mobile AI, and wearable device integration.
A company representative stated, “The Innovative Growth Type venture certification is not just a title, but a validation that our technology has the potential to transform industrial structures,” adding, “We plan to continue expanding beyond construction into manufacturing, equipment, and urban infrastructure management, focusing on AI technologies that can be directly applied in the field.”
Meanwhile, Digital Presso has been selected as a family company of the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), continuing technical collaboration with a national research institute in the construction sector. The company is also advancing its technology and expanding its business through government-funded R&D projects as well as public and private partnerships.
